There are about 77 000 adults and children living with HIV. In 2018, UNAIDS estimates showed that there is a 174% increase in the new HIV infections [34].

Around 1 M Filipinos are expected to have Tuberculosis and may or may not even know it [35].

The maternal mortality ratio in Uganda is 343 maternal deaths per every 100 000 live births; and the under-five mortality rate is 55 child deaths per 1000 live births [36].

One in every 37 children in Malawi dies in the first month of life. For every 1000 live births in Malawi between 4 and 5 women die during pregnancy, childbirth, or within 42 days after childbirth.

One in 8 children die from preventable diseases such as malaria, pneumonia and diarrhea [37].
